100 Parenting Tips For Happy Kids #4

Family Fun!Yet another ten parenting tips to consider. Always remember to try the ones that resonate with you and your children. Most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Parenting Tip #41 - Play board games – even make up ones of your own together. Teach fair play, taking turns and playing with honesty.

Parenting Tip #42 – Build a teepee out of blankets in the living room.

Parenting Tip #43 – Sit down and listen to your child with your full attention.

Parenting Tip #44 – Volunteer with your child in the community. Help out at the animal shelter, or visit old people in a nursing home. Don’t just do it once but regularly. Practicing kindness teaches kindness.

Parenting Tip #45 - Visit the library and learn something together.

Parenting Tip #46 – Sit down and talk about values, explaining what they are. Then ask your child to tell you what values he notices in your family. Write them down as he lists them, and help him fill out the list for any important values he may miss.

Parenting Tip #47 – Talk about the little things that make you happy. The more you focus on them, sowill your child.

Parenting Tip #48 – Speak your appreciation frequently. When you express your gratitude for things and people, your child will model you.

Parenting Tips #49 – Take part in a tree-planting day.

Parenting Tip #50 – Get a gratitude rock: find a special pebble, keep in your pocket, and every time you touch it, remember to be grateful for something about your day. Do this with your child.
